Homemade CNC machine

Decided to build a CNC (Computer Numeric Control) machine, its still a work in progress, but hope to complete soon, so information on what I have done and then hopefully finished in the near future.

This is a site dedicated to all things Jones, only joking, the site is just about some of the things I am playing with at the moment like 3D printing..

OK if anybody has looked at this site in the past 2 years you will have noticed it has not changed, Sorry. So time I think to start some updates and change the site around a bit.

So if you do nose at the page please be patient as I update and rewrite the site. I am thinking of making it more about just 3D printing and Electronics also video/photog we will see.

So need to update website and maybe change the format hmmm? Maybe I should rewrite then upload as new site, issue here is time I guess.

So I am still playing with Quad copters, at the moment it is all in bits as I have upgraded the frame to a larger 680mm frame from a 450mm frame, also adding FPV and a monitor to my RC unit, hence the 3D printer lol not that I have finished anything for the quad copter yet. Have started to design and test print some things FPV cam mount/ battery holder etc, but I keep seeing things on thingiverse which is an amazing collection of 3D printable items made by other people that I want to have a go at printing or just want. Oh one of the things I did redesign and upload is Auto-Bed leveling X-Carriage for a Sunhokey Prussa I3 printer.

This is the old quad copter, I will add pictures to the site when and as I build more of the new quad, in fact that is part of the site that needs the most work as the photo gallery is pretty rubbish and the Java script is not re sizing the photos correctly and they look blurry as they expand.

Also another item that I did quite a bit on is the CNC machine I built, it was all working fine but I built a large one so I could do larger projects but that takes up a lot of room and makes a surprising amount of mess & dust so I have stripped it down and boxed up until I get workshop put in and the I can resurrect and start playing with it again.

We love it so I will leave all the pages for the wood oven as they are for now.






I am still playing with eletronics/robotics but time time and space lol, bought a Nano board and some set position servos for a landing gear on the quad but as the quad is still in the box in bits i will have to wait to finish that one.

 

So hopefully i can get this updated quite quickly, depends on how much of a change i make to the web site not just the content.
