Like I said I have worked in the ICT (Information Communication Technology) field for quite some time. in fact Windows 95 was just being installed on all the computers in the first company I had an IT job with, but computers had been my hobby for a lot long than that. to see some of the other things I like to do just use the menu above to take a look.
Suppose I should list the computers I have owned from the start: oh the dates are roughly when I had these not there release date

• 1982 Sinclair Spectrum (oh it had a rubber keyboard lol) I also had the 16kb memory upgrade for this, yes a whole 16k. and it was so slim line.

• 1986 Commodore 64

• 1988 Amiga 500

• 1990-91 X86 Generic IBM PC this was still running DOS 4 it came on a bunch of 5 1/4 floppies.

• 1995 Pentium 120MMX (yes MMX, we all know what that stands for these days don't we, no well don't worry it was just a trademark, though it has been said to mean MultiMedia eXtension or math something). I bought a Hercules G-card for this and then bought memory upgrade chips for it, them where the days lol

From here when money allowed I slowly moved through all the stages of higher GHz CPU's and multiple CPU's, These at the time where mainly Pentium Xeon 2's and 3's running on dual or quad server boards

After this around 1999 - 2000 AMD brought out there first 1GHz CPU and I jumped to AMD and have never bought an Intel CPU for any machine I have ever built since, in-fact I have never bought an out of the box PC since my first Pentium 120MMX PC, I have always built my own, oh except for laptops. I do have Intel powered computers but only because I have picked them up for cheap or its a server I wanted / needed at the time. Funny thing is you don't seem to take pictures of beige square boxes as they are just not that exciting, I do have some pictures of the servers I have had though, gosh aren't you luck lol.

At this point in time I am only running a few computers at home, my main machine is a Gigabyte MB with 8Gb memory and a AMD Phenom II X6 1090T processor with an ATI Radeon HD 5700 Gcard, nothing spectacular but does the job for now. The 2 servers I am running at the moment are for a NAS and an EXSI VM server that hosts this web site and some of other machines. The NAS is on a generic server with twin Intel Pentium chips and 2Gb of memory, and is currently at about 12Tb of storage, I am running NAS4free V9 on this. The ESXi server is a HP ML150 G4 Xeon Dual Core Server with about 360Gb of SCSI drives in it. It is running V4.1 but I am about to upgrade to V5. I am in the process of updating and adding to these pages and they will be up and running as soon as I get a chance.
